Our storm radar uses ATD lightning detectiontechnology and updates every 5 minutes displaying the latestlightning strikes and 500 metre resolution rainfall imagery acrossthe United Kingdom and northern France. ATD technology is the mostaccurate detection technology plotting cloud to ground lightningstrikes to a resolution of 1 mile on our maps.There is no need to refresh our application or reload as ourlightning detector updates automatically every 5 minutes. We have acolour code for each lightning symbol in which you can find viaclicking the “key” button, each coloured symbol with a differentsize represents the time since the plotted lightning strike(s).You may upgrade to our free weather radar application at anytime by navigating to the button with three dots. Our weather radarapplication also displays 5 minute standalone rainfall imagery to500 metre resolution making it the highest resolution radar in theUnited Kingdom.If the map is blank this means there is no cloud to groundlightning strikes or thunderstorms currently affecting the UK ornorthern France.

UK Snow radarOur UK snow radar uses 5 minute super high resolutionrainfallimagery combined with our in-house high resolution weatherdata todetermine the precipitation/weather type. Blue representsrainfall,green represents sleet/wet snow mix and pink representssnow. Thedarker shades of any colour means the precipitation isheavy,lighter coloured and the precipitation will be lighter.Our radar updates every 5 minutes and it will also displaythelatest lightning strikes across the UK, perfect duringthundersnowevents!You can use the back, forward and animation buttons tonavigatethrough previous time-frames to the latest.
